Every treatment plan is shaped around your individual needs, lifestyle and recovery goals.

All personal and clinical information is treated confidentially and never shared without your authorisation.

All our practitioners are governed by the rules and regulations of their professional bodies.

Private Medical Insurance We Accept

We work with most major private health insurance providers, including:

If your insurer is not listed, please contact us to discuss your options, or check directly with your provider to confirm whether your treatment is covered.

Before starting treatment, you will need to obtain an authorisation code from your insurer. This should be specific to:
We also recommend confirming whether your policy includes an excess, as this may need to be paid before any claims can be reimbursed.

Our Community and Charity Work

Our Charity Work in Sri Lanka

Over the past 20 years, The Bloomsbury Practice has actively supported and funded a range of charitable projects in Sri Lanka. Our work has focused primarily on helping orphaned children and vulnerable families.
Through our partner organisations, we have contributed to a variety of initiatives, including sponsoring orphaned children through to independent adulthood. We have also helped rebuild homes and funded essential medical procedures, such as sight-saving eye operations.
In addition, our partners have led important community projects, including the construction of schools and the provision of clean water.
If you would like to get involved or support our work, please contact us.

Our Charity Work in Sri Lanka

Our Charity Work in Africa

Our Charity Work in Africa

We have provided medical textbooks, educational videos, and DVDs to a number of institutions across Africa. Through the academic work of our founder, Andreas Syrimis, in collaboration with UK universities, we have distributed a large number of books to African universities and other medically focused organisations.
We have also donated essential diagnostic equipment to support the training of medical professionals. This includes stethoscopes, sphygmomanometers, ophthalmoscopes, reflex hammers, and other key tools.

Other Charity Work

We are also committed to supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals. From time to time, we provide opportunities for students and newly qualified practitioners to develop their skills within a real clinical environment.

How We Operate

Please note that if you wish to cancel or change your appointment date you need to provide us with a 24 hours’ notice. Failing to do so, you will be charged 50% on first occurrence and 100% on any subsequent last-minute cancellations.
If you arrive very late we may not be able to see you. An alternative appointment may be offered but this is up to the discretion of the practitioner.
All personal and clinical information will be treated confidentially. We will not communicate any personal or clinical details to a third party – including your GP – unless we receive your authorisation.
All practitioners are governed by the rules and regulations of their professional bodies.
All treatments must be paid on the day of attendance. If we are claiming on your behalf from a private medical insurance or a third party, we must have all the necessary authorisation details in advance.
For details on our operating policies please contact the practice manager.
